Nordic Green 2022: Green Transition and Energy Resilience


The Nordic approach to the green transition and energy resilience was discussed at the Nordic Green event on 26 October


The Nordic ambassadors in Singapore hosted the event ‘Nordic Green 2022: Green Transition and Energy Resilience, both in person and as a virtual live stream on 26 October 2022.


The Nordic region is committed to achieving carbon neutrality and will become the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030. This year, Nordic Green focused on the carbon-neutral ambitions and experiences with energy transition in the Nordics and Southeast Asia region.


The strong line-up of energy industry leaders shared their perspectives on energy solutions and investments for transitions to a greener grid, energy research and development, cutting-edge technologies for future energy efficiency, and fostering international cooperation for new opportunities.


Particular topics of discussion included: how to make green aviation possible, geothermal technologies that can be used for e.g. heating, new trends in energy security and cost of the green transition, the energy challenges in Southeast Asia and ASEAN, as well as potential collaborations between the Nordics and Southeast Asia.


Finally, there were showcase stations by Green Denmark, Green by Iceland, Neste, Business Finland, Hitachi Energy and TOMRA, and dinner.
