Do you have innovations to make buildings more climate-resilient and resource-efficient? Now you have the opportunity to apply for CapitaLand’s Sustainability Challenge 2023.

As one of Asia’s largest diversified real estate groups, CapitaLand places an importance on sustainability. CapitaLand Sustainability X Challenge is back for its 2023 edition, and they are looking for innovators to be part of the transformation to make buildings more climate-resilient and resource-efficient through:


  • Open collaboration between local and global markets

  • Launch pilots within CapitaLand’s buildings located across more than 260 cities in over 40 countries, with over S$1 million to cover the cost of piloting all the chosen innovations

  • Transforming the built environment by implementing forward-looking solutions


Can the built environment be part of the solution to climate change?

CapitaLand is looking for innovations that make buildings more climate-resilient and resource-efficient.


This global search for innovations will see up to 10 outstanding innovators win an opportunity to pilot their innovations at selected CapitaLand properties around the world with over S$1 million to cover the cost of test bedding all the selected innovations.


Successfully piloted innovations may be implemented across CapitaLand’s global portfolio across more than 260 cities in over 40 countries, providing innovators with an opportunity to scale up their solutions and build their brand credibility.


Applications ends on June 1, 2023, 23:59 GMT+8.


Timeline

  • June 1: Registration deadline

  • June 5 – June 30: Shortlisting

    • The evaluation judging criteria are as follows:

(a) Impact & Business Value for CapitaLand Group;

(b) Innovation & Creativity of their solution to meet the problem statements;

(c) Potential to Scale and deploy across the different geographies and asset types of CapitaLand Group’s properties; and

(d) Solutions to meet TRL 8 (minimum).

~30 Start-ups will be shortlisted to move to the next phase.

  • Early July: Selection

    • 10 Start-ups will be shortlisted to move to the next phase.

  • Mid July – October: Mentoring

  • End October: Final Event
